asha works to develop rituals, be present, and take action. for some time now they have been regularly participating in and organizing a mutual aid cooking kitchen once composed of acquaintances and strangers who have (with ease) grown to become close friends.
asha is the featured artist of the first issue of grouphug. they wrote the piece "you cannot see anything", an essay accompanied by a series of photographs depicting abandonned malls.

faye is a florist and printmaker. she produced and printed all of the etchings in nyc tap & i'm very fond of you.
faye has been there from the very beginning.

maya is an artist and engineer who works with the internet in its many textual layers. from those outputs maya finds entry points to collage and detail interstices.
maya man is the throughline artist for the first issue of grouphug. her piece "charmed" collects, arranges, and articulates commonplace objects found along her commute from chinatown to soho – in the form of the many hundreds of chinatown giftshop keychains depicting a view of nyc, appropriate only for the uninitiated.

people in this city constantly come together to make one another's lives better and easier.
it's important for us to recognize these organizations seeing as the work they do is fundamental to the wellbeing of new yorkers, and rarely are they given the attention they deserve – often in favor of predatory or wasteful large non-profits and charities.
following our production schedule we donate at least 10% of our profits from the sale of every release to these organizations.

the friendly fridge BX is a food hub powered by community in
the Bronx, dedicated to combating food insecurity and reducing
food waste. established in may 2020 by sara allen and selma
raven, the project operates a publicly accessible food hub at 4670
broadway, near the last stop of the 1 train at 242nd street. it is open
to anyone to take or donate food without judgment or barriers.

we the people are an abolitionist mutual aid collective of neighbors supporting neighbors - committed to fostering a safe, equitable, and loving culture, in bed stuy and harlem that will serve as a catalyst for mutual aid efforts in surrounding communities.
